It was an ordinary, sweltering afternoon. The intercity bus rumbled steadily along its familiar forest route — a narrow ribbon of asphalt winding through dense greenery. The air shimmered with heat, passengers sank into drowsy naps, headphones in ears, and books in hands. Everything seemed calm.
Until the bus driver spotted something strange ahead. Two enormous figures were standing dead center in the road. He hit the brakes.
A mother elephant and her baby stood motionless in the middle of the highway. The driver frowned, confused.
