Commonalities amongst organisms sometimes lead to the development of special and friendly bonds between them.
For instance, when we pick a friend or partner who shares our hobbies, we tend to feel more at ease in their company.
Once upon a time, this oddball Oklahoman kid, at age seven, had the greatest joy imaginable.
Besides having a cleft lip, Madden the kid was also born with a cleft palate and an iris discordance. He stood out from the crowd and was a target of his classmates’ ridicule because of his unusual looks.
So, this kind but disheartened kid choose to be an introvert by themselves. One lucky day, Madden’s mum saw a notice about a stray cat with an unusual look and decided to take it in.
As a result of this realisation that his kid and the adorable kitten were «two peas in a pod,» a brilliant plan formed in his mind.
The fact that two of them were facing similar challenges was unexpected, but it lent a certain endearing quality to the pair.
The next day, Madden and his mom headed out to get the beautiful kitty. Thankfully, they took the stray cat in and gave him a loving home away from the harsh realities of life on the streets.
But the cat also did something sweet for the boy. Only the cat could rescue Madden from his isolation and restore his zest for life.
To this day, they remain the best of friends and companions.
