I found some strange black spheres scattered in my garden. At first, I thought nothing of them. But once I realized what they really were, I didn’t think twice — I burned them immediately.

One peaceful Saturday morning, I was trimming shrubs in my garden under a clear sky. As I leaned toward a bush, I noticed tiny, shiny black spheres clustered beneath the leaves—perfectly round like seeds. Curious, I poked one with a stick: it felt hard yet slightly rubbery. A chill ran through me. 😳

I called my neighbor, a gardening expert. She looked at them and grew serious. “Those are tick eggs,” she whispered. Tick eggs… in my well-kept garden? Unthinkable. But it was an entire brood, ready to hatch and spread. 😨

Following her advice, I grabbed a metal tin, filled it with alcohol, and put on thick gloves. I carefully collected each cluster and carried them to a safe spot in the yard. I set them on fire. White smoke rose, the eggs turned to ash, and a wave of relief washed over me.

I thought back to last summer, when my dog often brought ticks home. I’d learned to remove them properly and disinfect bites. But finding eggs? That meant I had to change my garden habits permanently.

Since that day, I mow more often, prune regularly, and eliminate keep-all hiding spots. I even laid cedar chips and put a tick collar on my dog, and I use natural repellent on myself.

This taught me that the smallest things can pose the biggest risks. If you ever find clusters of black beads in your garden… don’t ignore them: glove up, collect them, and burn them safely. Your health and that of your loved ones depends on it. 💥🌿🔥
