While most people would have walked right past the «ugly» and worn-out dresser without a second thought, this girl saw its potential. She envisioned it as the perfect addition to her interior decor and decided to make it a part of her space. ✨
The first step in her transformation was removing the old finish using nothing but Fairy dish soap and a metal sponge. No harsh chemicals needed – just a gentle yet effective method! Afterward, knowing that plywood and pine weren’t valuable materials and that the drawers were missing, she decided to give the dresser a fresh coat of paint. 🎨
Her idea was to turn it into a unique shoe cabinet. She started by sanding the wood to remove imperfections and cleaning the surface before painting. The interior shelves, which she wanted to modernize, were freshened up using leftover paint from a previous project. 
Although the paint was labeled as acrylic enamel, it acted more like alkyd – thick and aromatic – but covered the surface beautifully.
To replace the missing drawers, she made new doors from materials bought at a local market. The final result? A functional and stylish shoe cabinet that stands out! 👏
