In May 2014, after retiring from her pharmacy career, Sharon, a true wanderer at heart, decided to embrace a completely new direction in life. She purchased a 2015 T@B M@x S caravan, which she affectionately calls her «tear-shaped home.» With her trusty Jeep Wrangler, she now roams the country, living a nomadic lifestyle and finding joy in the simple things. Her caravan is a far cry from traditional models, offering a 1.80-meter ceiling height — just right for her! Weighing in at 1,670 pounds, it’s the perfect fit for her adventurous spirit.

Sharon had thought long and hard about this decision. Back in January 2012, she attended RTR (Rubber Tramp Rendezvous), where she explored what vehicle would be best suited for her travels. Having previously owned four larger caravans, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to downsize. But Sharon had a soft spot for her Jeep and wasn’t ready to part with it.

To her pleasant surprise, her Jeep Wrangler turned out to be quite capable of towing the caravan! The T@B M@x S is ideal for those looking to try a nomadic life. It’s equipped with a bathroom where Sharon can stand while taking a shower, and she can keep things powered up using either a standard electric outlet or 135-watt solar panels.

Sharon loves cooking outdoors to enjoy fresh air and avoid smells indoors, even though the caravan is equipped with two cooking burners. When it gets chilly, she relies on a propane heater and radiator to warm up the space in just minutes. In hot weather, the caravan’s air conditioning keeps her cool.

The caravan also features a lovely entertainment system, with a flat-screen TV and a DVD/CD player for cozy nights in.

As she travels, Sharon meets countless new people, and the best part? She now has friends across the country! Though she sometimes envies those with larger vans, Sharon knows her little «tear-shaped caravan» is the perfect fit for her and her two chihuahuas, who love camping just as much as she does. 🏕️🚙
